Yes, there's a Selka app — it's just not in the App Store

A question we hear a lot: “is there a Selka app?” Yes — and you might already have it without knowing. Selka installs straight from your browser onto your phone's home screen: its own icon, full screen, instant order alerts. It just doesn't live in the App Store.

How to install it (ten seconds, honestly)

On Android: open your dashboard at selka.sg/dashboard in Chrome, and tap Install when Selka offers it (or the ⋮ menu → “Add to Home screen”). On iPhone: open your dashboard in Safari, tap the Share button, then “Add to Home Screen.” That's it — Selka now sits next to WhatsApp on your phone.

Turn on order alerts

Once it's on your home screen, tap “Enable alerts” on your dashboard and your phone will buzz the moment an order lands — even with the app closed. No more discovering an order three hours later at the bottom of a chat. (On iPhone, alerts work once Selka is added to your Home Screen.)

Why we skipped the App Store — on purpose

App Store apps carry real costs: store fees and commissions, weeks-long review queues, 100MB downloads, forced updates. All of that ends up somewhere — usually in the price you pay. A home-screen app skips the middleman: it installs in seconds, updates itself silently, and takes almost no space. You get the same icon-on-your-phone experience, and we keep Selka's plans cheap.
