Our story

to sell, gently

It starts the same way for everyone. You make something — a cake, a curry, a quiet little craft — and people love it. So you sell a few. Then a few more. And soon your evenings disappear into a WhatsApp thread that never ends: “still available?”, “how much ah?”, “can collect tomorrow?” — orders lost in the scroll, a payment you forgot to chase, a double-booking you catch too late.

Somewhere in there, the thing you loved making started to feel like admin.

A whole generation now runs real businesses from home — a kitchen at midnight, a bedroom studio, a weekend table, a link in an Instagram bio. They don't call themselves “shops.” They're makers, with day jobs, side hustles, and people who love what they make. But most tools are built for warehouses and checkout funnels — not for one person selling twenty cakes a weekend. So selling starts to feel louder and colder than it should.

We wanted the opposite — a name that sounds like selling made soft: Selka to sell, gently. No blaring “BUY NOW,” no big-store machinery. Just a tidy link between you and the people who already love what you make.

We built it for one person first — someone we love, selling out of her own kitchen, tired at 11pm. The promise was simple: take the mess of selling and make it quiet. One link. One tidy order. Your evenings, back.

That's still who we build for. Not “businesses.” People who made something with their own hands, and just want it to reach the people who'll love it.

Selka. For everyone selling something they made with love.
